When there is a better option for your needs than what I can offer, I’ll tell you. I prefer to earn your trust forever to making a few bucks from you now.
I received my first computer in 1986 and have loved technology ever since. A TRS80, that you can come and see (still working) here at my office.
For over a decade I was a combat medic in the Army National Guard. During that time (which included a 18 month deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom III) my fellow soldiers & I were lucky I worked on more computers than people. This helped to renew my passion for computers and lead to the decision to leave the medical field and move toward IT.
After I returned from Iraq, I started my first computer repair business in Idaho and that was all it took. Fast forward a few years and a move to Longview, Texas where LiamTek was started in April of 2011. Since opening I’ve moved to a larger location, honed my offering of services, & am continually evolving the business to best serve what I believe are the best clients around.
Enough LiamTek history, If I have to sell you on me we’re probably not right for each other. Instead here is some useless trivia about me.
I’m left handed (often to my own detriment), I don’t like to be barefoot, I’ve been to 5 countries, had the same 2nd grade teacher as my mom, & have driven over both the Tigris & the Euphrates.
For fun I fly RC airplanes & multi-rotors (often called drones). Flight videos here & here. I mostly fly FPV (first person view) Where I see what you are seeing in the videos while I fly through a set of wireless video goggles. Yes, it is as fun as it sounds. Do ever crash? All the time. If you aren’t crashing you aren’t learning.
In addition to flying, I sword fight. What? Sword fighting you say, yup full contact medieval style combat -example video-. I’ve been participating since the early 90’s – I’ve fought multiple formats over the years but mostly fight Belegarth, Dagorhir, & Amtgard.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me a bit.
